As the prizes are worth winning, it is hoped by this means to develop the broadeasting system in addition to securing a good profit on the transaction. s & t) HH Amalgamated Broadcasting System of America is a new association which has been recently formed in competition with the Columbia and National networks. It has started modestly with a chain of nine broadcasters, mostly in the State of Michigan, but hopes to extend the organisation to include 100 transmitters. The bulk of the entertainments will be drawn from Washington. * * ON January 1 there were supposed to be 16,800,000 odd United States homes equipped with radio, or 56.2 per cent. of American homes, representing an increase of 4,760,000 odd homes equipped in three years. In New York 79.4 per cent. of the homes are equipped, in Columbia 88.7 per cent., in New Jersey 83.1 per cent., and on Rhode Island 82.1 per cent, So they say, in a trade report, ;
