N.Z. Short-Wave Club
From the Secretary’s Pen OWING to inerease of work we require the services of several additional Wellington members at the headquarters shack. Mr. Roy Clarke, of amateur station ZL2ZAW, while on tour of the North Island, is trying out something new in 3valve short-wave circuits, details of which I will be sending to members. Judging by the popularity of the Short Wave Club Two, this receiver should take on well. The club members’ circular is delayed owing to changes, including the adoption of a different style of paper. Designs are to hand for qa distinctive badge for membeship cards, and, as soon as _ present stocks are exhausted, an entirely different ‘membership certificate will be issued. A handsome pen-painted silk certifieate was framed by Mr. A. G. Eddy, of Canterbury, and offered ‘for competition in a membership campaign. The winner was Mr. J. V. MeMinn, of Wellington, who was the first member to enrol by post. A local member has made a card index of all short-wave siations, including Morse, telephony. and broadcast, and another member has forwarded me-a daily time-table of stations. Please address correspondence to A, B. McDonagh, secretary N.Z. Short Wave Club, 4 Queen Street, Wellington, El. and note that the "short-wave cycle’, is gradually coming back our way, which will give us the thrills we had in 1930.Yours fraternally, MAC.
