2YA Coming In On Coast Like Sydney Stations
To the Editor, Sir,-Of late the weather down here has been great, all blue sky and no elouds, except, of course, for the wet days, which are unavoidable accidents. For radio reception conditions have been ideal, and 2YA has been coming in like 2FO and ZBL, our star stations down here. At present a vigorous campaign is being conducted by the postal authorities against thé "howlers" in the neighbourhood. There has been quite a wave of "howling" lately, but now, the perpetrators of the interference are slowly, but surely, being weeded out. When the new Canterbury station is ready for action. we on the Coast shduld be able to enjoy free reception that we .do not always get now. In reference to the "howling" campaign. [ have heard that the babeesare going to be fitted with special antihowling muzzles, but. there-I expect it’s only a.rumour, not: that .some of us would not welcome snch ‘a. contraption !-T am, ete., .
