EL $$$ RET N entirely new built-in radio set which will enable motorists to eit joy programmes while actually driving was announced recently. These sets are a standard extra on many makes of American cars, and are widely used in an adapted form by the American police. They are entirely unobtrusive and take up no room in the car. The aerial is hidden in the roof; a dry high-tension battery is fitted under the driver’s seat, and both the receiver and the movingcoil loudspeaker are placed under the seuttie. All that can be seen of the set is a neat illuminated tuning plate fitted with a lock and key beneath the steering wheel.
