Oscillation Cured WITH reference to a query by I)X21 " W Ohakune_ in 'Radio Record" of July 1 1932. I an using 4112 8-valve ({al- inercial rereiver; and experienced the same trouble 0n the lower portion of the dlial. I could not get even half volume without oscillation; The trouble waS finally traced to the rotor plates of the tuning condlensers _ These are grounded by mnealls Qf tin-coated brass springs, bearing against the houshes of rotor plates and frame Qf condensers, the condenser frame being srounded. These springs were quite firm in their respective seats_ and Were appar- ently making quite good contact; but ;I taking the surings out it was noticed that the tin coating had wor through, due To the continaous friction against_ the bushes. he springs were aleaned and re-tinned, a1 ordinary soldering iron and flux being used: when they were, Feplaced the trouble disappeared, ahd] there has "iot heen any trouble since. ~Egmont (Tara- naki) elensen SETS IHF DACL / [Bycvery lest 4 (llensen DYNAMIC SPEAXERS ARF SUpERIOR
