1090 K.C., 275 M. ENDY’S Children Session last Thursday was one of outstanding merit. It was a debate atranged by Mr. W. J. Bailie between scholars from various prominent Auckland schools, including St. Cuthbert’s College, St. John’s Convent, Maungawhau Epsom, Kowhai Junior High, Bayfield, and Mount Albert Grammar School. The debate was on the subject, "Is Homework Necessary?" the affirmative being taken by four boys, and the negatire by four girls. The session proved the possibilities of juvenile debate being of educational value and interest. The popular decision was on the side of the girls.
