Christchurch Features W.H.A. session deals with the last of the series of lecturettes on "Horticulture" by Mr. M. J. Barnett, superintendent of city reserves. The evening concert programme will be of a light and varied nature. Phyllis Coombs, possessor of a pretty soprano voice, will be singing. Further vocal numbers will be introduced by recordings, these including a Maori song by the Tahiwis. George Titchener, the popular local entertainer, will give two humorous numbers, while three wellknown tunes, "Liebestraume," "The Rosary," and "Cavatina," will be played as vibro-harp solos by Mr. A. J. Williams. From Dunedin EE W.H.A. session will be taken by Mr. Lloyd Ross, M.A., his subject being "A Guide Through the Depres-sion-the Monetary Problem." CA programme by the Minnesingers Vocal Octet and Arthur G. Frosi’s Smyphonie Dance Band, with an ad-
mixture of a number of | recordings will be . Choruses will be a feature of the programme, and there Will be numerous solos, all of a popular nature, ‘The dance band items which will intersperse the programme, will comprise modern and popular melodies and various dances.
