Landmark Disappears.
A FAMILIAR sight to all Melbournites is the wireless mast that crowns the little hill in the Domain, and genuine regret will be felt by many to hear that its demolition has been ordered. This mast has been a landmark for 21 years and was part of the equipment of the first commercial station in Australia, originally known as P.O.M. and later as V.I.M. I should think that 2YA’s announcer had worked this. station ‘many times.
