Items from Auckland HALF-HOUR’S recital of the latest recordings will be followed by an hour’s concert provided by Berta Carr and Maida Hooker (in yocal and piano numbers), Arthur Ripley (with four popular tenor solos, some recorded items, and a talk by Mr. A. B. Campbell on "Byways of New Zealand Story." 2YA Jottings [Tua vocal numbers on the recorded programme will introduce to listeners two fine singers, Lotte Schone and Willy Domgraf-IFassbander, singing in the duet "My Part I’ll Flay" (zrom Donizetti’s opera "Don Pasquale"). The interpretation of this. gay duet by these two artists is a fine performance. A humorous sketch, "The Disorderly Rbom," a very clever burlesque of incidents in army life, will be presented by Tommy Handley and his company. Selections from Christchurch CLASSICAL-OPERATIC programme will be broadcast by the Studio Orchestra, under Harold Beck. Phyllis Kinniburgh (pianist) will contribute to the instrumental side of the programme. _ Lawrence A. North, the possessor of a rich baritone voice, will make his first appearance in 3YA studio to-night, singing "The Prologue" (from "I Pagliacci’), "A Garden is a Lovesome Thing," and "My Abode." 4YA Jottings A programme commemorating the Bi-Centenary of the birth of Haydn will be presented by 4YA artists. During the evening Mr. G. W, Johnstone will deliver a talk on "Haydn and His Work."
