Station on approx. 1100 ke. just below Heilsberg and OKR. A woman announces

the items and a man gives the call, which is followed by a short bird whistle. It js usually heard from 5.30 am, on.DX99W (P.N.). Station heard at approx. p.m. on April 12 on approx. 780 ke. (384 m.) at good volume. No call was given. Apparently an auction sale was in progress. ‘"Seasoned timber" was mentioned, and a bed was sold for fifteen shillings. A perambulator and a dog were among the other things sold. This station was also on April 15, heterodyning badly with a Jap. Items heard: "I’m Waiting for Ships that Never Come In," sung by a woman, and "When the Moon Comes Over the Mountain." This was at 10.15 p.m.DX1340C (Dunedin). . Station heard 2 degrees below 3AR on April 11. Nationa! Anthem was heard, but Xfterwards it faded out. It wis also heard very faintly the next evening. What station heterodynes 2Bl.? An American is heard nightly 1 deg. below him, but I eannot get his call-DX140A (One‘hunga). Station heard April 16 on approx. 1120 ke. (268 m.) at R8, QSA4. Between each item was a distinct pause, and the only words spoken was a short monologue referring to the old masters (Schubert, ete.). No other announcements were made. Items and times heard: 6 p.m., bagpipes playing "Phe Old Rustic Bridge ‘by the Mill"; 6.7 p.m., "The End of a Perfect Day’; 6.15 p.m., a band march; --§,20 p.m., vocal item, "Madame."’- \ D.Mcl. Address of XER. FUROPEANS are coming in well now, but you need to be a linguist to do much with them. On a recent verification from XER there is an address I have not yet seen published. It is: XBR, Box 1088, Del Rio, Texas. On April 17 this station was R7-8 from 5 p.m. onwards. On April 6 4ZF was logged on hig dx programme at RO after 11.40 p.m., but static was exceptionally bad. I received a Night-Owl card, together with a verification, from KGIR, Butte, Montana, Also the Butte Chamber*of Commerce sent a book slightly larger than ee Log" on Montana -DX99W
