A Good Macareni Savoury. Tungredients: doz. macaroni, doz. cheese, } pint milk, 2 onions, 4b tomatoes, 2oz butter, 30z. breaderumobs, pepper and salt. Method: Break macaroni into 2in. lengths, boil for thirty minutes, and drain, Add the milk and seasoning. uu simmer for another thirty minutes. Prepare and peel the onions, slice and boil till tender, and slightly chop, Skin nnd chop tomatoes, Butter a goodsized pie dish, scatter in some breadcrumbs, Then place ingredients in -layers, putting grated cheese over the macaroni then onions and tomntoes, Continue till dish is full, and’ cover with remaining breadcrumbs and dabs of butter, Bake twenty or thiriy minutes in quick oven. Potted Beef, Tugredicnts: Wb rump steak, 2b him or lean bacon, salt, pepper, cayenne and ground mice. Method: Pass meat and hom through mincer, ‘and put into jar with two tablespoonfuls of cold water. Cover Closely and set in oven or a pan of boiling water to cook one hour, then add seasoning and cook slowly for another hour. When quite tender, pound meat well. while hot press into small moulds and cover with melted butter.
