Auckland Notes i ‘HH evening concert will begin at approximately 8.45 p.m., after the _Xelay from the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Among the artists appearjng will be Owen Jensen’s- Instrumental Trio, who are making their first apPearance at the station. During the evening Miss Wliza Campbell, M.A., will give a very interesting account of a trip she made to Gallipoli in 1928. From 2YA €L0RDON BRYAN, the eminent . English pianist, now on a tour of New Zealand, will be the chief attion on the evening programme. He will give two fifteen-minute resitals comprising some _ sparkling mumbers of wide variety. Ava Symons, violiniste, appears on fhe same programme, playing three @ pieces, "Souvenir" (Drdla), ‘Humoresque" (Dvorak) and "Canzonjotta" (@’Ambrosio). The evening’s programme will also noteworthy, because the first roadcast of music from the new earilion will take place at 9 o’clock, ahd at 9.15, "Anzac Day," composed by Alfred Hill, will be sung for the first time in New Zealand. . From Dunedin ‘THE seventh instalment of 4YA’s Music Lovers’ Competition will be broadcast at 7.35 p.m. The recorded programme will feature a number of popular operatic ehoruses. and solos, while there will be mumerous orchestral selections ranging from musical comedy to grand opera. Two Maori pieces, "Tangi" and "Waiata: Poi," will be played. ° At nine o’clock Mr. G. G. Billing ‘will give the second of a series of talks on "Geographical Aspects of World Power."
