Radio Musical Pot Pourri Competition

(EFFORT NO. 1.) 1 have listened to your music, your lyrics, and your lays. T have pondered over many tunes heard in my youthful days: I have tricd to fin your tit-bits with an appellation, My efforts failed to reach success and ended in veration. Sometimes me thought the tune did speak, and I would have a clue, If but another bar were played, 'd know the whole thing through; A vang of stuttering static; then alt as still as death. My only hope had vanished. T cussed till out of breath. This musical delirium my senses scemed to sway, I dreamed by night of Old Black Joc, and jazzed the livclong day; While the morning breezes whispered, "I’m Sitting on the Stite," The evening cephyr playcd around fond "Mary of Argyle." "Thoughts of Twilight" and "At Dawning" scemed wafted on the air, And "Down Among the Sugar Cane’ (I wished that I were there). And sweet "Evening Bells" came tolling far o'er the groves of pine, And memory went strolling in the days of "Auld Lang Syne." My luck is not to name the lot, but 1 will have @ try To name @ few and that may do till some time by and by. Yes, two to me you will agree, have a familiar ring, ran sure that one is "T'hree Blind Mice," and one "God Save ihe King." Vow should I win the fifty quid, dowt think to send it down, But get a case of Dewar’s best and all the static drown. Heperiments I'd have you try; sometime when youre alone. A counicr irritant ‘twould prove tipped down your microphoue.
