Work Besun in South Island Mr. A. GIBBS. a member of: the Coverage Commission. left for the sonth on Monday last to join Dr. M. A. F. Barnett. the other member of the commission. A tentative itiner. ary has’ been drawn up. but it is subtect to modification from time to time, Announcement as to the exact itinerary of the commission will be made over the alr from the station in the district tn which the commission is ‘vorking. The present plans provide for Otago and Sonthland being first visited. thereafter Canterbury and subsequently the northern part of the South Tsland. Many requests have heen received for specin1 localities to be, visited. and it is Intended to make th’ work of the commission as comprehei sive and thorough as possthle. ‘
