A singer for the first time on the air at 3YA will be Charles L. James, thasso cantante, well known throughout New Zealand as a professional singer. He has for some years resided at Oamaru, where in local pro(uctions he has filled leading roles, both in @pera and in oratorios. -'Tonight he will sing a popular ballad and two sea songs. A special vaudeville artist engaged for the evening will be Phil Smith. well known as a comedian and attached to the J. C. Williamson’s companies for many years. Lottie ColVille wilk be heard in soprano songs, and there: will he numerous recordings, mainiy of'a novelty nature. The programme will be relayed to 4YA. At intervals during the afternoon 4YA will, broadcast descriptions of the Vauxhall! Regatta.’
