An orchestral programme of a popular nature, mezzo-contralto songs by Mrs. Hawea Rees, humour by Miss Noni Wright, popular duets by Miss Sylvia Pointer and Reg. Morgan, with baritone solos by. Reg. Morgan, popular airs on Robt. Mciknight’s concertina, a topical talk by Mr. A. B, Chappell, and a number of novelty records will comprise the evening’s concert programme. From 2YA HE evening concert wil! be provided by the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve Band and 2YA artists, while the "Serenaders" (male voice quartet) will be heard in a number of. popular melodies. A. recital of baritone songs will be featured on the evening’s programme, the singer being Rex Harrison, well known throughout’ New ’ Zealand and Australia. IIe will present a quartet of popular numbers-"Song of the Toreador." "To he Near my seloved." = "Kashmiri Song." and "Harbour Night Song." From Dunedin 4YA will be on the air during the afternoon to broadcast results from the Forbury Park Trotting Club’s meeting.
