ALTHOUGH I sent in a long report of over 40 items taken over a period of ten days, WCEL did not verify, but wrote saying that if I was sure I had picked them up on long-wave and not as a relay on short-wave, they would be only too pleased to forward a verification. Fortunately I have again managed to obtain sufficient to prepare another report, and am hoping for better luck this time. What American stations are associated with the North-West Broadcasting System? I have heard a station on 0 m. (1000 ke.) mention this often when signing off at 8 pm. Cannot get

Frequency of 3CB. [ a recent issue of the "R.R." N. Jenkins (Masterton) gives the correct wavelength of VK30B, East Richmond, as 206.8 m. (1450 k.c.). This station has been heard here recently at good volume on approx. 240m. (1245 k.c.). Dee. 25 and 26 were very good for reception, 2CO, 3CB, and KYW being among the stations logged.-DX12NW (Nelson). ' KCRC Heard. STATION KORO, which is owned by the Champlin Refining Company, is located at Enid, Oklahoma, and transmits on 1870 k.c., with a power of 250 watts. XEN, who recently changed their frequency to 710 k.c. (422m.), transmits during the following hours: 1-4 p.m.,, general information and music; 7-11 p.m., concerts; 11-12 p.m., loral and foreign news and comments. All C.8.1 reports

Particulars of 2K0O. I HAVE been able to cross one station off my black list. This is station 2K0, Newcastle, from whom I have just received a confirmation of my report of July 24, They congratulate nie}, on receiving their transmission of that" date as the power used was only 12 \ watts. They also state that when I re- }- ceived them they had been on the air , for only 20 minutes in their first test, and mine was the first DX report received. The transmitter is crystal controlled, on a frequency of 1415 k.c. (212 metres), and the address is: The Newcastle Broadcasting Co., Ltd., A.M.P. Chambers, 57 Hunter Street, Neweastle. I believe the power used now

is 200 watts.-
