N.Z. Short-wave Club
Secretarial Notes QOWwIN G to lack of notice I regret that two leading jights of the club could not be included in the deputation to the Postmaster-General, namely, Messrs. Roy Clarke (ZL2AW) and BE. Hackett. Those present were the president, Mr. F. W. Sellens, Mr. H. BH. ‘Evans, and myself. We were very well received ond our request for club notes to be brvadcasted will receive consideration. I recently received a very favourable reply from the Prime Minister re a suggestion for publicity, and, shortly, I hope to be able to place details. before memers. A number of letters still come to hand asking for information from beginners. I am only too pleased to reply, and, if a 2d stamp is enclosed, I will frrward some club information. It is most likely that the next Wer lington meeting will be held early ia December. It has been suggested by oar’ Auckland representative, Mr. L, Saunders, that club members in various places hold "Field Days"-that is, take sets out in the.open and see what results are like.. That is a good idea, but, of course, permission would have to be obtained from the radio inspector to remove the set. As most of the members will be going to other places this Christmas, I would like those desiring members’ addresses in’ various places to write in as early as possible, otherwise, with overtime, etce., letters may be delayed. . Any letters addressed A. B. McDonagh, Secretary, New Zealand Short Wave Club, Wellington, New Zealand, will always find me. P.S.-A letter came to hand recently addressed: "N.Z. Short Wave Club, Wellington." , ~
