Sea Foods. HE afternoon talks, prepared by the Home Science HWxtension Department for 1YA, 2YA, and 3YA, will be on "Sea Foods in Relation of Health." Gleanings from 1¥A ROM 12.15 p.m., the mid-week services at St. Matthew’s Chureh will be broadcast by 1YA. Recently the Auckland Society of ‘Musicians provided a concert consisting of the works of local composers, and there was not one dull moment in the programme. The items were particularly fine, being selected by a specfal committee, and reflect great credit upon Auckland composers. Another such concert will be broadcast. This time the works will be by Mary Hansard, Renee Satchwell, Mary Brett, Eric Waters, H. Luscombe, Owen Jensen, Tracy Moresby, and Ewart Lynn. = It is impossible to particularise, but the "Sonata in’ A Minor" (written by Mr, H, Luscombe, of King’s College), to be played by G. de -Clive Lowe and HEI. Luscombe, should prove of outstanding interest. From 2YA STUDIO concert by the Royal Naval 4 Volunteer Reserve Band,. under the ovductorship of Harry Baker, will be broadcast. The band will be heard in an excellent programme of marches, overtures, and waltzes, while of the instrumental items, a cornet duet, "Larboard Watch," played by Bandsmen W. Bowman and L. Baker, should prove particularly good. The vocalists for the evening will be Dorothy Murray and Val Jones, who will be heard in solos and "duets. Also on this programme will be "The. Sketchers," who will provide two humorous interludes, Items from ‘Christchurch DURING the afternoon trotting re‘A sults will be broadcast. Mr. BH. J.. Bell, Librarian, Christchurch Public Library, .will. broadcast

his monthly review of books of travel biographies, ete. Dr. F..E. Bevan Brown, who. recently returned from a tour abroad, will

be the lecturer on 3YA’s Internationa) Programme, speaking on "Some Observations on a Trip to Mngland and Holland."
