1YA Jottings "THE concert by the Auckland Municipal Band will be relayed from the Town Hall. 2YA Features SCOTTISH concert, under the direction of Mr. George Stark, will be broadcast. Mr. Stark will open with an outline of the celebrations of Hallow’een as depicted in Burns’s poem "Hallow’een," and will also be heard in the traditional song "Green Grow the Rashes 0." Pipe Major Fraser will play bagpipe selections, and Owen Pritchard will be heard in humorous songs. The Htude Quartet will edelight listeners with favourite Scottish songs-solos, duets and quartets. From 3YA and 4YA From 3YA and 4YA the Dunedin Orphans’ Club, an inimitable band of entertainers and humorists, will transport all listeners to an old English. Inn. Mine host is there, the picture of goodwill and openhanded generosity ; the log fire is crackling on the hearth, and the rousing choruses of the countryside ring through the rafters; wit, erude or subtle, is there in abundance, and the genial atmosphere cannot but make all forget dull care.
