Wellington Notes "THE "Musical Portrait’ from 2YA will be undertaken by Ernest
Jenner, who, with the assistance of Hilda Chudley (contralto), will present Russian music. Mr. Jenner will play "Theme and Variations" by Glazounov, a most delightful work, and Miss Chudley will sing three beautiful songs by Rachmaninoff. Mrs. B. B. Wood (mezzo-contralto) and Monica Malfroy (soprano) will sing two duets, and will also be heard in solo numbers. Ernest Glading (baritone) ‘will sing a group of songs, and the numbers by the Orchestrina will include a Hungarian dance by Dvorak and ‘Les Deux Pierrots" by Drigo. Selections from 3YA J(ATHLEEN BOND (contralto), Hisie D. Rutter (soprano), Leslie Stewart (baritone), and © James Laurenson (humorous reciter), will be associated with Derry’s Military Band (conductor, J. Scott) and the Christchurch Broadcasting Trio in providing & concert programme. ‘ AYA Jottings D®: BH. N. MERRINGTON, principal of Knox College, Dunedin, will be the lecturer on 4YA’s international programme, his subject being "Public Opinion on International Affairs."
