W9OXF, Chicago, 49.86 metres: Reaches good volume by 5 p.m., but often marred by static. ZL2ZX%, Wellington, 49.5 metres: This station is being well received in Australia. G5SW, Chelmsford, 25.53 metres: Saturday was the only morning it was possible to understand talk from London, between 7 a.m. and 7.30 a.m., when it was 95 per cent. at R8-9. Severe rapid fading spoilt reception on other mornings. I understand they come in well now at 12.30 a.m., so the "night owls" say. 12R0, Rome, 25.4 metres: This station has been subject to rapid fading the last few days. as well as being weaker than usual.
