Notes from 1YA HE vocal portion of the studio cone cert will be supplied by the members of the Clarion Quartet, who will be heard in solos, duets and quartets. The Salon Orchestra, under the direction of Mr. Harold Baxter, have included in their programme "Hungarian Dances, Nos. 2 and 8," "Two Irish Sketches," and a selection entitled *71930." 2YA Items T 7.40 pm. Mr. F. M. Bateson, Seetional Secretary, New Zealand Astronomical Society, will deliver .a lecturette, "Classifying the’ Stars How They are Measured and Counteil." Dr. Guy H. Scholefield, O.B.., will be the lecturer on the international programme. Christchurch J ottings "PoE Canterbury Repertory Theatre Society, will provide the _programme to-night. Sketches will be acted, depicting love scenes from par centuries-16th, 17th, 19th and 20th. An instrumental programme will be’, provided by well-known 8YA artists.
