From Auckland DURING the afternoon listeners will hear some of the numbers to be played by Mr. Maughan Barnett, city organist, in the Auckland Town Hail. The divine service from St..Matthew’s Chureh will be relayed at 7 p.m., the: preacher being Canon Grant Cowan, and the organist and choirmaster Mr. J. H. Philpott. After the service a studio concert will be presented, during which two quartets will appear,..the Savoy Male Quartet and the Whisker Instrumental Quartet. Both these eombinations are already well known for their artistic performances. Notes from Wellington of pets) evening service in the Vivian Street Church of Christ will be relayed. The preacher will be Pastor W. G. Carpenter, and the organist Miss Hazel Hunter. At 8.15 pm. a concert by the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve Band, under the conductorship of Mr. Harry Baker, will be relayed from the de Luxe Theatre. 38YA Items HE service in Durham Street Methodist Church will be broadeast, the preacher being the Rev. P. N Knight, the choirmaster and organist Mr. A. Wellbrook, L.A.B. 4YA’s studio concert will be broadcast at the conclusion of -the service. aie Dunedin Notes HB service to be conducted in the Central Mission (Methodist) will be on the air, the preacher. being. the Rey. L. B. Neale, and the organist Mr. Mortley Peake. The after-church studio concert will be provided by well-
Known 4YA artists. A quintet conducted by Mr. A. H. Pettitt will provide the instrumental music.
