The "Radio Record" DX Log Chart
A Novel and Unique Production With a view to assisting both beginners and the "hard-boiled" type of DX enthusiast, a chart of broadcast stations has been. prepared on unique lines. The main idea is that stations in any part of the world are shown in the order of sequence in which they will be found on the dials, and thus from the known positions of a few stations, many others may be readily searched for and found without the necessity for hunting through numerous Ss. Hach station is represented by an oblong space showing clearly the callsign, location, frequency, and wave-
‘length, and in the case of high-powered stations the power is also given. Three dials are represented, divided respectively into 0-100 and 0-180 degrees, and 1400 to 550 kilocycles. There is a pointer for each frequency, running from the station particulars to-
ward the dials, but a small space is left so that the position of that particular station or frequency may be noted by drawing a line across the space from the pointer to the reading of the detector dial on the dial corresponding to that on the receiver. It should be noted that these lines drawn in will never cross, so there can be no confusion. ‘Compactness is.an essential feature of the chart, and although over 220 stations are entered there is no. confusion. The full measurement is 16 x 10 inches. Stations include all New Zealand and Australian, a large number of Ameri-
cans heard, or likely to be heard, in. New Zealand, numerous Mexican, Sout American, Japanese, Canadian, and 2, few of the super-power stations of Hurope so greatly sought after by the real enthusiast, New listeners will find the chart a mine of valuable information that will afford never-ending amusement and interest, enabling them to quickly extend the range of their operations through having definite indication of the positions in which distant stations are to be found. Copies shortly availbale.
