. Moseow-50 Metres. R. W. BRIDEN JONES, N.Z., 17, . W.° (Palmerston North), has just received a "QSL" from the Russian station on 50 metres, which comes in go well every morning. The address ig; "Central Radio Station, Palace of Labour, Solianka 12, Moscow, U.S.S.R." The main station transmits on 1304 metres (2380 kilocycles), and the short~ wave station on 50 metres (6000 kilo eycles), with an aerial power of 100 kilo watts (no wonder reception is good). ’ (hey transmit in German, Spanish and Dutch, as well as Russian, from. 23.00 Moscow: time, and in French and English from -24:00 Moscow time. This is 7-30 am, and 8.30 am. New Zealand ime, . G2NM, England. pHs station is on the air every Monday from 4 a.m. to 6.30 am., and again from 10.30 a.m. to 12,30 pm., NW. time, on a wavelength of 20.95 metres, LSX, Buenos Aires. [THE Buenos Aires short-wave station, LSX, which was well received here a few weeks ago, has now suspended regular broadcasts, but may be heard at irregular times on 28,89 metres. VESCS, Canada. | pus short-wave station operating on | 49.42 metres, is owned by the United Churches of Canada. Their schedule is Fridays from 4.30 p.m. till 6 p.m., and Mondays, 6 a.m. to 12 noon, and 3 p.m. to 5.30 p.m., N.Z. time. The power used is usually 50 watts, but sometimes 100 watts. Reports of reception are invited, to be forwarded to Station VH9CS, 734 Davie Street, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. .
