1YA Auckland T 7.40 p.m. there will be a talk under the auspices of the New Zealand Native Bird Protection Society. On the evening’s studio programme a’ new artist will appear, Mr. George Pasek,- who will give a number of accordion solos. Mr. Laurie Stuart, baritone, who has already been heard over the air, is making a welcome reappearance, and: Mr. Trevor Binns will be heard in several humorous numbers. The Orchestral Octet, under the direction of Mr. Harold Baxter, will play among other, numbers, "The Punch Bowl," "Romance," *"A Creole’ Serenade," and a selection of "Sullivan Songs." . Features THE morning talk will be on "Fashions," ° te A varied and interesting evening’s programme is assured. Newcomers on the programme will be the Nelson Brothers (mandolin duo), Mr. A. Wills (baritone), and Brigadier James Imrie (Bnglish concertina). The Nelson Brothers in mandolin duets should be heard to advantage in some popular numbers. Brigadier Imrie will play a medley of "National Airs" of his own arrangement, Handel’s "Largo" and "Wavourite Hymn Tunes." Also on the programme will be Madame Dorothy Cronin (soprano), late of Auckland. She will sing "Just a-Wearyin’ for You," "Youth and Spring" and "Laugh and Sing" and "Down Here." The Orchestrina, under Signor A. P. Truda, will be heard in the overture, "Masaniello," the selection "Katja, the Dancer," and the selection, "Songs of Italy." (Concluded on page 29.)

Miss Anita Ledsham will contribute four popular songs: "Buy My Strawberries," "Irish Folk Song," "Come, Lads and Lasses" and ‘The Bonny Banks of Loch Lomond," while Mr. L. fT. J. Ryan will entertain for fifteen minutes with "Tricks: and Teasers," a radio conjuring turn. Saxophone and ; ry piano novelty items will be played by Mr. Lyndon P. Christie and Miss Clive Winston. The instrumental portion of the concert will be provided. by the Studio Octet, under Mr. Harold Beck. Dunedin Features UNDER the auspices of the Department of Health, a talk will be broadcast at 7.40 p.m. Some very fine quartets will be sung by the Select Four in the evening.
