ROM 1YA, 2¥A and 3YA the home science talk, prepared by the Home Science Extension Department of Otago University, will be on "Metals that We Eat." From Auckland Tuo talk at 7.40 p.m., under the auspices of the New Zealand Manu_facturers’ Association, will be on | "Bricks, Tiles and Concrete." The whole of the programme is to he given by the Auckland Orpheus Musical Club, which has already been heard.on several occasions throughout the year. ' The vocalists are Miss Rewa Hipwell, : soprano, and Mrs. L. H. Lambert, who

will be heard in a number of solos and duets. Mr. Harry Woolley will he heard in piano solos, and Mr. J. Finlayson will supply humour. Dance music will follow and continue until 11 p.m. . Notes 1 10.45 Mrs. Barrington will speak on "Cooking," and at 11.37 there will be a lecturette, "‘The Conquest of Tuberculosis," to be given under the auspices of the Health Department. At 2.30 p.m. Mr. A, BH. Oampbell, M.A,

representative of the W.E.A., will be heard in a lecturette entitled "Growing into Life" At 3.15 the weekly home science talk on "Metals that We Hat" will be given by Miss I. F. Meadows. A‘concert by the Wellington Commercial Travellers’ and Warehousemen’s Association Orchestra and Concert Party will be broadcast in the evening.: A most interesting instrumental programme has been arranged. Also included on the programme will be a duet for flute and clarinet, "Lo, Here the Gentle Lark," and pianoforte

duets. Selected electrical recordings will be included in the programme, Christchurch Notes WO orchard instructors of the De‘partment of Agriculture, Messrs, B. G. Goodwin and J. D. Carolin, will discuss "Seasonal Orchard Work." _ The first instalment of the series of international programmes will be broadeast. Dr. P. Stanley Foster, chairman of the International Relations Committee of the Rotary Club, will speak on "Personal Observations in Other Countries."
