Radio Talks from 1YA
’ RRANGEMENTS have been made for a series of talks on radio to be given from 1YA. Members of the New Zealand Association, of Radio Transmitters being the speakers, The first talk will be given on July 18, and others will follow at‘ fortnightly periods. The talks scheduled ‘are :- July 18: "The Prineiples of Radio," by Mr. H. A. Boyd (ZL1IOH), August 1: "Valves and their Uses," by , Mr, J. R, Turnbull (ZLIB1). August 15: "The Progress of Television," by’ Mr. H. B. Archer, Sec.; N.ZA.R.T, (ZLIAN). August 29: "Direction Finding and Auto Alarm" (as aids to navigation), by Mr. R. Beazley (ZL1 BB)y,
