Auckland Notes FROM 12.80 p.m. to 1.80 p.m. there will be a relay community singing, to be held in the Auckland Town Hall. At 7.40 p.m. there will be a book review. The studio concert will be given by the Salvation Army Congress Hall Band, under the direction of Bandmaster Paice. The programme will conclude with a gramophone recital by Miss. Molly Atkinson, entitled "Schubert, Master of Melody." During the:evening the results of the Hauraki by-elections will be broadcast. "Items from 2YA y "T 7,40 p.m., from 2YA, Mrs. Albert Russell will give ano‘her of her interesting talks, entitled "The Art of Successful Living." The speaker for the’ international programme to* be presented to-night will be Dr. Guy H. Scholefield, O.B.B. 3YA Programmes PROFESSOR R. ©. Zimmerman, the violin virtuoso who has delighted 3YA listeners on two previous occasions, will be heard again this evening. He will be accompanied by the orchestra in his playing of "Viennese Melody," "Mazurka Obertass," and Bach’s "Air on the G String." Sketches acted by Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Seciznce Extension Department of University, will be on "Use More Cereals." At 7.15 p.m., Mr. C. V. Dayus’ will ‘speak on "Veterinary Matters." Both talks will be under the auspices oO: the 4YA Primary Prodiretions Committee. A concert to be given in the Town Hall by the Dunedin Returned Sol-‘diers’-Choir, under Mr. John T. Leech, will be broadcast. The accompanist will be Mr. Chas. A. Mar ‘tin, Mus.Bac., L.A.B: The choral works will include "Songs of the Fleet," "Hunting Song," "On the March," "Sweet and Low," "Hallelujah Power and Glory," "The Funiculi, Funicula," and "Laughing Chorus."
