Rugby Broadcasts Banned

HE question of the effect of bread--easting of Rugby matches on he gate returns of matches in the country districts was considered at a meeting of the Manawatu Rugby District Council held on May 6. The council decided to request the Wellington union to give serious consideration to the adverse effect on the gates by the broadcasting of matches played in the cities before coming to a decision in regard to the matter of allowing matches to be. broadcast this year.
