Auckland Notes At 3 p.m, 1YA will carry out a relay from the Town Hall, where an International Youth Rally is te take place, His Excellency the GovernorGeneral will be the principal speaker. In the evening the service to be held in. St. Matthew’s Church will be broadeast, the preachér being the Rev, .C. H. Grant Cowan. This will be fol-. lowed by a studio programme on which will appear Miss Gwladys Hdwardes, thé Australian soprano, and Mr. Morris T, Schroder, a young artist who made such. a favourable impression ou his last appearance at this station. Instrumental music will be provided by Miss Margot St. L. ‘Toner (piano), Miss Jean Allen (violin), and Miss Marjorie Tiaks (’cello). — From Wellington THE evening service in St. Gerard’s ‘ Redemptorist Church will be broadcast, Afterward a relay of a recital to be given in the De Luxe Theatre by the "Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve Band will be carried out. Christchurch Features HE Rev. Percy Knight will be the preacher at Durham Street Methodist Church, when the service will be broadcast. Afterward 3YA will relay 4YA’s studio concert. From 4YA THE service to be conducted in the i" First Presbyterian Church by the Rev. W..Allan Stevely will be relayed.
Dr. V.'E. Galway will be the choirmaster. ‘The after-church concert will be contributed by the Kaikorai Band under Mr. T. J. Kirk-Burnnand.
