On Friday morning a complete schedule for both wavelengths was read, both for telephony and telegraphy. It was too fast for me to copy. ~ 50.1 metres (about).-There is a station working on this wavelength each morning at good volume, with plenty of music. Talk is foreign, and so far a call has not been . identified. . 7L0, Mairobi, 50 metres.-R6 at bes each morning, but very gushy. ’ PK8AN, Sourabaya, Java, 49.7 metres. Saturday, 11.45 p.m., just audible through static. WSXAL, Cincinnati, 49.5 metres.Sunday, good at RS at 5 p.m., but on R4 at the same time on Saturday. VOR2, Vienna, 49:4 metres.-Monday, 6.30 a.m., talk at R5. W3XAL, Boundbrook, 49.18 metres.Sunday and Saturday, spoilt by static. Volume not so’strong as a few weeks ago, : Saigon, Indio-China, 49 metres.-Sat-urday only evening up late enough to hear, when volume'’was only R8 at 11.30 p.m. Static was very bad.

At 6.30 a.m. a clock chimed and struck 8 (one hour ahead of MT This was followed by an announcement, but could not understand any of it. ..The talk was similar to German. W2XAF, Schenectady,. 31.48 metres. -This station can be heard as early as 11 am. now, very weak, but reaching R9 soon after 2 p.m. Zeesen,’ Germany, 31. 38 metres.-6.30 a.m. is the best time now for Zeesen. Some very fine music has been heard , during the past week. WIXAZ, Springfield, Mass. +» $1.35 metres and Saturday, 4.80 p.m., being about the time for best volume, which on the latter day was .R8-9, with an organ recital. . PCJ, Hindhoven, Holland, 31.28 metres. R7 at 6.30 am. to R6 at 7.85 when signing off. Saturday a little stronger at the same time. The Saturday afternoon programme came through quite -well, being best’ at .4.30 ‘P. m., when volume was R8-9. 5SW, Chelmsford, 25. 53 metres -Volume good each morning fron 6:80 a.m., but rapid fade always very severe, mdre than usual, 12R0, Rome, 25.4 meitres,-Dxcellent each morning at 7.30 a.m, and most mornings from 6.80 a.m. GBS, England, 24.69 metres, was heard calling Japan, on Saturday at 9.30 pm. At 10.30 p.m. still calling; said that JIAA wes very weak.’ JIAA, Japan, 20.1 metres (about).at 10 p.m. calling "Hullo, GBS, London; this is JIAA," ete. The place was given but cannot pronounce it. Records were played while waiting for London to reply. Volume was R8&, with a strong ripple and_ noisy background. On Saturday at 10 p.m. JIAA was just audib%® when GBS was. calling. W2XAD, Schenectady, 19.56 metres. see aitlay, 7.30 a.m.,; R3; too gushy. to be rea dable. ‘PLG, Java, 18.8 metres. -Saturday from 9.15 p.m. records at R8, with seyere fading.
