New Station
"THE vice-president of the broadcasting company in Shanghai, China, left recently for the United States to investigate radio facilities and broadcasting equipment with the view of purchasing apparatus for China’s first commercial broadcast station. It is to be constructed during the present year. China’s first large broadcasting station is not at all pretentious, for present plans contemplate the use of 1000 watts of power. The official of this Chinese broadcasting company is to visit Europe and England, also, to consult radio engineers regarding facilities most suitable to Shanghai before purchasing the necessary broadcasting apparatus.
