_ Short Waves. From Morocco, BH Radio Maroc. broadcast programmes are relayed to the Rabot shortwave transmitter. This station rebroadcasts them on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, between-12,30 a.m, and 1.30 a.m., on 24 metres, and on Sundays and Mondays between 8.30 ‘am. and 9.30 a.m., New Zealand standard time, on 48 metres. All) announcements are made in French, the call being "Ici Radio Maroc, station de l’office Cherigien." As an interval signal a metronome can be heard. The transmissions close down with the playing of ‘La MarseilJaise." JIAA, Japan. "han shortwave station JIAA is located at Kemikawao-Cho, ChibaKen, Japan, and belongs to the Department of Communications. The wavelengths used are 38.07 metres and 19.086 metres, Directional aerials are ‘used, directed to Hurope and America. The aerial power is 5 kilowatts. The station frequently tests with ‘KL, California, and sometimes with VK2MH, Sydney. Reports are asked for regarding reception of JIAA, which ghould be sent to the Kemikawa Radio Sending Station at the above address.
