. Auckland Notes IAT 6.55 p.m. the evening service from St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church will be relayed. The preacher will be the Rev. Iyo Bertram, and the organist, Dr, Neil McDougall. After the service a relay of the Municipal Band concert in Albert Park will be carried out. The band will be under the conductorship. of Mr. George Buckley. ¢ From Wellington’ D!VINB service will be relayed from the Terrace Congregational Church, the preacher being the Rev. H. W. Newell, and the organist and choirmaster, Mr. H. Brusey. At 8.20 p.m. the band of the Wellington Division of the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve (by permission of the Commanding Officer) will give a concert from the studio. From 3YA THE service to be held in the Christehurch Anglican Cathedral will be relayed. His Grace Archbishop Averill will be the preacher, Dr. J. ©. Bradshaw being the organist and choirmaster. The broadcast of an openair concert to be given by the Municipal Band will follow. Dunedin Notes aH Ven. Archdeacon Fitchett will ‘"- conduct the service at St. John’s Anglican Church on Sunday evening, when a broadcast will be carried out.
In the after-church concert programme, to be given by the St. Kilda Band under Mr. James Dixon, Mr. A. Walmsley will present four new sacred songs: "The Magie of Thy Presence" (hy Roger Quilter), "The Grey House" (by Messager), "Sunday" (by Carews) and "Thou Art Risen, My Beloved". tes E ColeridgeTaylor). A new artist makes her appearance on this evening’s programme, Miss Hstrelle Burnard. .. She is the possessor of a soprano. voice of exceptionally fine range and clarity. Miss Burnard’s items will.be "The Holy Child" (by Luther), "Dedication" (by Sparrow) and "Sleep and the Roses" (by Norman Tate)... The St. Kilda Band’s items will include the "Tschaikowsky" selection, comprising extracts from the works of this popular composer. This band is at the height of its contesting form at present.
