From Auckland STATION 1YA will open up at 11 a.m. to broadéast trotting results. At 740 Mr. Norman Kerr will give another talk. on "Physical Culture." For New Year’s Eve at 1VA a special programme has been arranged. Ernest and Wendy Luks will present "Merry Moments at the Piano." These two artists have proved extremely popular since their first appearance at this station a few weelis ago. The Trivolian Trio, consisting of piano, banjo, and saxophone, will make their first appearance in several numbers, The Mati Trio are already very welcome, and they will be’heard in seveyal popular. songs. Miss Phyllis Gribben has returned to Auckland on holiday, and the many admirers of her voice will be glad of having the opportunity of hearing this very fine contralto once again.
