Auckland’s Programme From 11 a.m., 1YA will be broadcasting the results of the Auckland Trotting Club’s meeting from Alexander Park, The evening programme will consist of vocal and instrumental , items, and a topical talk to be given by Mr. A. B. Chappell, M:A. Madame Mary Towsey, mezzo-soprano, has included among her items "Beautiful Beatrice," by Mallinson. This composer is certainly one of BHngland’s greatest composers, and it is a pity that his works are not more generally known. Will play three groups of numbers, including a selection from "The Gondo-. liers," by Sir Arthur Sullivan. From Wellington HE Salon Orchestra will play this evening Delibes’ "Coppelia Ballet," a "Meditation" (by Clifford), the suite "Myrtles of Damascus," and the selections "Thais and Tahnae" and "Reconciliation." Mr. W. Haydock will play the violin solo "Reverie," by Vieuxtemps. Reno and Arta are making a welcome reappearance. Their items on this occasion will be xylophone duet arrangements of the "Slavonic Rhapsody," "Carolina Moon," and polka "Tda and Dot," and Brahms’ "Hungarian Dance No. 5." From 4YA fa Dunedin Tramways Band, under Mr. Charles Morgan, will be heard from 4YA.
