TPHIS evening the Municipal Choir concert to be given in the Auckland Town Hall, under the conductorship of Mr. Maughan Barnett, will be relayed, followed by a programme of dance music. From 2YA. A CONCERT, which is being held _ in the Wellington Town Hall to the campaign for the instllation of radio receiving sets 2° the Mental Hospital, Porirua, wil be broadcast. This concert will be given in t. presence of his Excellency fi Governor-General, Lord Bledisloe. T. programme will consist of items by ti. Salon Orchestra, the Melodie Four a1. Mr. Will Bishop. During the evenin; speeches will be given by Lord Bled = loe, the Hon. A. J. Stallworthy (Miu ister of Health), Dr. Gray (Inspector General of Mental Hospitals), and Mr. Hooker (the organiser of the cam paign). A feature of this programme will be the items by Reno and Arti. the popular xylophone duo. Following the concert a dance programnic will be given from the studio 3YA Items. "aE OPTIMISTS" will be responsible for the programme, and bright and varied it will be. This combination of Christchurch entertuiners, who have banded themselves together for the purpose of helping the ¥.M.C.A. and other movements, will sing some splendid choruses, quartets, and solo items. Mr. Melyille Lawry will be the accompanist. The stirring Scottish song, "Hail Caledonia," will be sung by Miss Kath‘een Bond, whose other item will be "The Glory of the Sea." Steel guitar and ukulele items will be played by Miss Blaine Moody’s Hawaiian Trio, with vocal refrain by Miss Moody. Popular melodies will also be played by a banjo, banjolin trio, consisting 0* Misses M. and L. Straw, E. Churchil and Nicholas (accompaniste). Th programme will be relayed to 4YA.
