Spotlight Microphones
For Radio Plays A NEW microphone technique is reported from America. On a porte able structure 10 feet high sits an™ operator who manipulates the micr phone as though it were a theatre spotlight. When he wishes to pick up any sound to the exclusion of others he directs the microphone to the source of the required sound. It is predicted that this new type of "directional" microphone will be particularly useful in-giving additional realism to radio plays.
