Coastal Radio Beacons
"TECHNICAL details have been completed for the immediate establishment of wireless beacons at 20 of the principal lighthouses on the Australian coast. With these in operation, no matter how dense might be a fog or how tempestuous the weather, | no ship equipped with direction-finding | equipment could go ashore through losing its way. The captain might d something foolish and wreck his ship, but the age-old causes of shipwreckmissing the course by reason of fog, rain, wind or currents-could no longer exist.
