R. W. D. ANSELL, 2ZD of Masterton, writes:-It may be of interest to listeners to know that station 2ZD, Masterton, put over.a.good relay of the football match, Britain v.. Waivarapa and Bush Districts, on Satur‘day last. Mr. R. J. McKenzie, the well-known football referee, was in charge of the microphone and witty remarks on the play were appreciated. Telegrams were received and ’phone ealls proved the popularity of football and the efforts of the station to supply the wants of the listeners. Brunnerton,, Shannon, Castlecliff, Wellington received the station well. 2ZD is operated on a wavelength of 254 metres with a power of 24 watts.
