R. MORRISON (Wellington) reports reception of HKT on Satur-. day, May 17, signing off at 4 p.m. HET is located at Bogata, Columbia. They transmit daily on 48.5 metres from 12.30 p.m. to 5.80 p.m. New Zealand time. Finger-prints by Short' Waves. [HE Berlin and Buenos Aires police ; have recently exchanged fingerprints by means of a short-wave service between Nauen and LOK, Buenos Aires. Reception is described as satisfactory at both ends, the finger-prints being easily identifiable. Short Waves from Rumania. NEW short-wave station is to be erected in Rumania for communieation principally with Berlin, London, and Paris. Power and wavelength are at present uncertain. Important Items from 5SW. (QHEIMISFORD regularly gives particulars of important items to be expected within the next 24 hours at §.25 a.m., 10.35 a.m., and 10.55 p.m., New Zealand time.
