HE statement that a prospective broadcast listener-being a staunch vegetarian-would not purchase & portable receiver on account of its being finished in hide, may seem rather far-fetched. This, however, was the ac tual experience of a radio manufacture ing company in Hngland. They eventue ally succeedéd in satisfying their un: usual customer by agreeing to make @ special wooden case for her! We are thus inclined to wonder whether this vegetarian lady customer feels compele led to switch off when stringed instruc ments are being played. nm
