Special Commemoration Programme at 2YA ~ A PROGRAMME of marked interest has been arranged for Thursday, September 12, dt 2YA in commemoration of the Battle of the Somme (1916). The programme is in the hands ef Lieutenant Shardlow, conducting the ist Battalion, Wellington Regimental Band, who will be assisted by the Lyric Quartet. The whole programme will be reminiscent of the Great War, and of special interest will be a novelty selection by the Band, "An Episode of the Great War." ‘This introduces a scene from camp life prior to the troops embarking at Southampton. The programme is a. distinct novelty, and as such will meet with the ready appreciation of all listeners. ‘
