R. 8. J. HAYDEN, who for the last "few months has been in charge at 4YA_ while building operations in connection. with the new station have been in progress, has now returned to Christehurech. Mr. J., Mackenzie has taken his place as station manager at Mr, Mackenzie claims Dunedin as his’ birthplace, but he has travelled far since then. After a commercial traininig he took up Y.M.Q.A, work and has been long associated with the movement in New Zealand and in America. He was with the Y:M.0,A, in France and Hngland during the war. He will bring wide experience and ability ‘as an organiser to bear on his office as station manager at 4XYA. Splendid progress has been made with the fitting up of the new studios and with the installation of the new plant, but the work of furnishing cannot be completed until the arrival of special drapings and curtains, which have had to be imported and which are on board the Port Melbourne, The new station will be up-to-date in every respect, with the most modern transmitting plant procurable, and with the studios equipped with the latest electrical devices to facilitate the efficient staging and presenting of programmes,
