Ranfurly Shield
Relays from Masterton LASt Saturday, August 17, 2YA broadcast a description of the ‘Manawhenua-Wairarapa match for the Ranfurly Shield. Mr, Edgar M. Wylie, of Wellington, was the narrator at the microphone. The next match to be described, if @ relay line be available, will be Canterbury’s challenge for the shield. This is to take place at Masterton on Wednesday, August 28. In this. instance 3YA will carry out a rebroadcast of 2YA. The announcer will be Mr, A. R. Allardyce. , The Wairarapa Rugby Union has a full quiver of challenges this year, and » has courteously granted the BroadcastCompany permission to broadcast as many of them as it can make arrangements to do. —
