Radio Pageant of Maori Race DURING the first week in August ‘there will be some outstanding attractions at 2YA. The principal event will be, the Radio Pageant of the Maori Race, which is to be presented on August 8. For the purpose of producing this entertainment a contingent of Maoris swill come from the Wanganui: district. They are busy practising and rehearsing. In_his first talk he -will describe the gannet nesting ground at Cape Kidnappers. This is a charming story. which ‘will appeal to every listener. Mr. Cottrell’s other lecturette will deal with the myths and legends, as well as the historical facts connected with the Hawke’s Bay coast. On August 22 there will be a_ relay from Hastings-a concert arranged by the Hawke’s Bay Radio Ssciety.
