« ---o~ "THE Beckenham Male Quartet will be associated with Derry’s Military Band on Monday evening. The popular band and the equally popular vocalists have arranged splendid programmes. Concerted numbers by the quartet will include the "Mother Goose" medley, "Philosophy," ‘"Twilight Shades Descending," "Piccaninny Lullaby." and "Ramona." There will be a duet, "Sweet Genevieve." Solos will comprise "Beware of the Maiden" and "The Garden of Afterwards." Also contributing to Monday’s pro‘gramme will be Miss M.. J. Gilbert, soprano, and the Studio Trio. The records for the evening will include items by Harry Lauder, Peter Dawson, Roy Smedk (guitar), and orchestral numers. "Mr. BE. J. Bell will give a talk on books on Monday evening at 7.30. HE concert programme for Wednes: day will be subject to alteration on account of the mtinicipal eélection results. But a splendid. programme has been arranged, and heading the artists will be Miss Edith Harrhy, the eminent Welsh pianiste-composer-sing: er. Also on the programme will be the Dulcet Quartet. Instrumental musie will bé provided by the Bohemian Quintet. VERY interesting feature of Wednesday’s programme will be the items by Mr. A. G. Thompson. bari tone. His three numbers havc been composed by himself. Mr. Thompson is shortly leaving on a trip to the Old Land. "THE Madame Gower Burns. Grand Opera Quartet will supply the yocal portion of Thursday evening’s programme Miss Myra Pollard, mez-z0-soprano, is now a member of this party The quartet numbers will be "London Town" and "Fly, Singing Bird, Fly." All the members of the quartet will sing solos. Worthy of special mention will be the dramatic song to be sung by Mr. James Filer. Emanuel’s "The Desert." Pianoforte solos wil] be played by Miss Dorothy Davies, there will be ‘cello solos by Mr. Harold Beck and selections by the Studio Four. fPHE Radiolians will feature excerpts from "The Maid of the Mountains" on Friday evening. They will be associnted with the Rhythmic Duo, singers of popular songs, and the Mar-ston-Bailey Dance Band. petition, will recite. her own composition on Saturday evening. It is entitled "The Bushman’s Child." Another recitation to be given by her will be "If Life were a Play." Mrs. Windsor is a talented reciter and she also has a distinct literary gift. Other artists who will appear in the vaudeville programme on Saturday evening will be Miss Lottie Colville (soprano), the Melody Girls (songs with ukulele accompaniment), Mr. A. Couch (tenor), Miss Doris. Webb (recitations to piano accompaniment), Mr. Robert Samson (baritone), Miss Irene Morris (violin), and the Studio ‘rio.
