YPUE Anglican service conducted in St. Paul’s Cathedral by Canon Nevill will be broadcast on Sunday evening. The church organist will be Mr. FE. Heywood, F.R.C.O. After the church service, a concert will be relayed from St. Kilda rotunda, THE St. Kilda Band’s programme for Tuesday evening is of a very interesting nature. Two marches are ineluded, "Royal Lover’ and "Broadacre." Other items will be "Desdemona" (waltz), "In a Monastery Garden," ‘"Lortzing," "Wemont," "Rose Garlands," and "The Pilgrims’ Chorus" (from ‘"Tannhauser"). Assisting vocal: ists will be Miss Eva Scott (soprano). Miss Dorothy Skinner (contralto). and Mr, R. A, Mitchell (tenor), Blocutionary numbers by Mr. C. Russell Smith will be "The Wanderlust," _"Christmas at Sea," and "The Girl on the Stairs." PV EPNESDAY’S entertainment will , be of the popular type. A variety of items will be presented. Mrs, Ralph
Martindale will sing "My Ships," "Almond Blossoms," and "The Birds Go North Again." Mr. James Swan, the , tenor vocalist, will sing "The Garden of Your Heart," "At Dawning," and "Lassie o’ Mine." There will be Scottish humour from Mr. J. A. Patterson, who will give two Lauder and _one Fyffe number. Novelties on the piany will be played by Mr. James Wilson. Miss Rona Scott, elocutioniste, will include among her numbers "Papa and the Boy" and "The Weather ‘Fiend." Among the records will be a chorus, © "Gems from ‘Peggy Ann’" and "The Floral Dance," as sung by Mr. Peter Dawson. (Anzac Day services on Thursday.) The first instalment of Verdi’s grand opera, "Rigoletto," will he broadcast on Friday evening. [NTERESTING solos and quartets: will be sung on Friday evening by the 4YA Harmonists. The concerted numbers will be "Early One Morning" and "Good Night." There will be a duet, "Somebody" (from "Floradora"), Soprano solos by Miss Mae Matheson will be "Four Ducks ina Pond" and "A Birthday." Miss Mollie Andrews will sing "Love I Have Won You" and "The Winds are Calling." Two songs by Hasthope-Martin will be sung by Mr. H. A, Johnston, tenor, while Mr. EF, M. Tuohy will sing "Can’t Remember" and "Harlequin." Miss Joyce Hould, elocutioniste, will recite Galsworthy’s "The Kings" and "Portia’s Speech" (from ‘The Merchant of Veuice’). Instrumental music will be supplied by the 4XYA Broadcasting Trio and by the Philadelphia Symphony Orchestra, which, per medium of gramophone records, will play the famous "Nutcracker Suite." ERY varied will be Saturday evening’s programme. Popular song hits will be sung by Miss Betty Roberts; there will be humorous sketches by Miss Sheila Neilson and Myr. J. B. McConnell; novelty numbers will be played by Mr. Ted Heaney (accordion) and Mr. Hugh Dalziel (marimba), and the two will combine forces in a ten-minutes’ demonstration of ‘noyelty switches; popular bass solos will be sung by Mr, Norman Lennon, "The Yeoman’s Wedding Song." "Come to the Fair,’ and "The Curfew." A number of varied records will also be introduced.
